#148: Gaining Momentum in your Healing
In today's episode I talk about how you gain momentum in your heartbreak healing. I talk about how certain things in the beginning are going to feel really hard but then get easier and easier. I talk about how there's no such thing as "being back at square one" in your healing because you have muscle memory and everything you've done up to that point is still within you.

In today's episode I have world famous psychiatrist and brain health expert Dr. Daniel Amen. We discuss what happens to your brain when you're in love, what happens to your brain when you're going through a breakup. I asked him if he believes in no contact after a breakup. Today I have 2 very special guests on the podcast, my PARENTS! In this episode I interview my Dad on going through a divorce with his high school sweetheart after have 3 kids together. We talk about how he healed from the divorce and how he found a second chance at love with my Mom. I then talk to my Mom about how she never gave up hope with her fertility and ended up having me at age 43 and my little brother at age 52. Their message is you're never too late to find love or have a family.

Recovery requires so much compassion and kindness and self love, and I see so many people being way too hard on themselves.
